We are the Pinal Mountain Section of SME. The Pinal Mountain Section is a legally constituted unit of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration, Inc., encompassing the specific Pinal Mountain geographical area including Globe, Miami and Superior.

 

Our section, provides information exchange and professional development among the local members that represent various professionals serving the minerals industry. Our members are given the opportunity to socialize and network with their peers and hear valuable presentations through our monthly meetings and activities.

 

From the local Freeport McMoran, BHP and Resolution progress updates to the University of Arizona Mineral Museum Curatorial Specialist's presentations, we provide information and discussions that are beneficial for our members and driving the organization forward.

 

Annual dues are affordable and we are always looking for new members and speakers to share unique and interesting material for our group. If you are interested in expanding your horizons and would like to become a member or be a speaker for our group, please email info@pinalsme.org.

THIS MONTH: Alan Mallory, P. Eng., Mechanical Engineer, Project Delivery Group, HATCH

 

As a Mechanical Engineer, Alan is an expert at problem solving, conceptualizing, and inventing new mechanical contraptions.

 

In 2008, his family set out on the adventure of a lifetime, a climb to the highest point on earth, the summit of Mt. Everest, and to do it together as a family. It was an incredible journey filled with countless challenges and rewards.

 

Alan is a motivational speaker and will share his journey with our SME group on Monday, April 15th!
